Kat Epple
Eight-time Emmy Award-winning
and Grammy-nominated flautist and composer Kat Epple has performed
at the Guggenheim Museums, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the
National Gallery. She has released 15 CDs of original music, and
she also composes and produces music for television, including "National
Geographic", "Nova", and "Guiding Light". Kat also travels throughout
the world, collecting flutes from other cultures and featuring
them in her original compositions.

Her ninth
album, "Catspaw" was nominated for a Grammy Award. Kat's music is a blend of many styles including: Impressionistic, ethereal,
jazz, classical, new age, celtic, electronic, latin, island and
world music. Kat Epple's live performances include: Guggenheim
Museums, National Gallery Washington, DC, Palazzo dei Diamanti,
Italy, NYC Metropolitan Museum of Art, and The Hollywood Palace.
She has traveled to the far reaches of the globe including China,
Africa, Russia, The Amazon, Europe, Peru, Mexico, Japan, Costa
Rica, and the Caribbean, to learn of the people, natural environment,
and the music of other cultures. She uses music in her work toward
peace, environmental, and humanitarian awareness, and has amassed
a large collection of flutes from cultures around the world, which
she features in her original compositions.
